Sales Support Specialist (RM 3200 – 4500)  

Job Summary   

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Sales Support Specialist to join our Business Development (BD) team. Based in Kydon’s Malaysia office in Iskandar Puteri Harbour, you will work closely with BD to provide strong sales support, customer service, and data and analysis to facilitate sales and build a strong customer base. As a Sales Support Specialist, you play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth sales operation for the BD team to succeed in revenue targets while increasing customer loyalty and brand awareness. 

Job Description 

On a given work day, you will: 

  • Provide administrative support for BD, including qualifying calls and emails from leads, preparing and filing sales-related paperwork and managing calendar appointments. 
  • Maintain and consistently update database of product and service offerings, pricing schedules, sales packs, pitch decks, third party providers and costing, agreement templates and forms, and BD department’s budget and commission.    
  • Set up and maintain CRM as a repository of customer information, leads tracking and management, and automating regular and consistent follow-up actions and engagement activities. 
  • Coordinate with BD and relevant departments, as well as 3rd party providers to generate quotes for proposal submissions, taking into account budget and pricing information. 
  • Managing, monitoring and filtering opportunities in government tender portals. 
  • Initiate follow-up on leads, address customer queries, assist with proposal clarifications and escalating complex queries to BD in a timely manner. 
  • Work with customers on feedback, upselling opportunities and referral recommendations at appropriate phases in the customer life cycle. 
  • Under the guidance of BD, conduct market research and customer surveys on industry trends and evolving customer buying behaviors and needs to identify opportunities for growth. 
  • Prepare monthly sales reports on leads, conversions, growth projections, market trends and recommend innovations and improvements to sales approaches and programs based on market and sales data collected. 
  • Work with BD to coordinate purchase of gifts and cards, or organize events and celebrations on festivities and special occasions to connect with customers and vendors. 

Job Skills & Qualifications 

  • At least four years of experience in sales support or similar role 
  • Analytical, systematic and meticulous with proven track record in organizing and maintaining CRM and sales database  
  • Excellent customer service and care skills 
  • Ability to multitask and work well in cross functional and cross border teams  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related disciplines 
  • Work experience in the training and education sector or learning and development (L&D) domain is an advantage
