Kydon Group completes divestment of enterprise custom learning solutions and content business unit to focus on new growth areas

Singapore’s leading digital learning technology company Kydon Group announced the completion of the acquisition of KLSI by Alpha Energy Holdings Limited.

KLSI is a digital learning agency providing custom digital learning content and solutions for enterprises and educational institutions. KLSI comprises its two entities in Singapore and Malaysia, along with MQ Spectrum Pte Ltd, and MQ Spectrum India Pvt Ltd.

KLSI is now Zionext Pte Ltd, which is wholly owned by SGX Catalist-listed Alpha Energy.

The acquisition follows the 16 July 2020 announcement of a cash and stock deal facilitated by Didi Investments, Inc., a Japanese investment firm.

The leadership team of Zionext comprises Daiji Yamada as President and Samuel Tan as Group CEO. David Yeo has an advisory role.

David Yeo, founder and CEO of Kydon Group, said in a note to staff: “The future will be bright, as Kydon Holdings and Alpha Energy will be entering into a Strategic Partnership Agreement shortly to chart out our plans to forge the way forward in the education and training learning space.”

Kydon Group was established in 2012 by Yeo as a digital learning technology company to drive learning transformation expressed in its vision and manifesto. Kydon Group combines professional training and industry experience in various fields — learning design, digital content creation, learning technologies, and systems integration all under one roof — offering clients an integrated suite of learning services.

Kydon Group is also the parent company of learning network disruptor ZilLearn and online media and conference platform LEARNTech Asia. Kydon will continue to lead and invest in learning transformation R&D and growth initiatives.

Kydon is heading the ZilLearn Skills project — an upskilling, reskilling, and employability platform — for the EduTech Alliance for Action, which is part of Singapore’s Emerging Stronger Together initiative under the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
